The 2004 Presidential Vote
By Patricia Johnson-Holm

Tell me folks -- how do we expect to make changes by doing the same thing again & again?
Democratic National Convention - decision time or 'just a fun party'?
Look at what is taking place at the DNC (Democratic National Convention). Are there any real decisions being made by the "delegates?" Is it really just a big fun party funded by the huge megaCorporations?
When that much money is put up for such a grandiose event surely there is additional cost (of loyalties) involved, right? Do you see that the decisions have been made for the "delegates?" We go through the motions but it's not the same.
Conventions: A Get-To-Know-You Gathering
When we look at the previous conventions the purpose of the DNC was to meet the Candidates and each delegate choose according to the will of those the delegate represents. The candidate closest to their platform or goals is then voted for.
What do we have now? The "Electoral" votes are supposedly the way the pretend 'news' tell us. Of course these "results" are formed using the current voting systems - Diebold (look at the ownership [Karl Rove etc]) and various Florida-type corruption.
Now what can we do about it?
Resolve to act.
Let's NOT just accept the candidates forced on us. Pray to be able to discern just what needs to be done at this point in time.
Make sure your vote counts.
Insist on a WRITE-IN ballot. Demand that our votes be hand-counted with checks and balances in place.
Learn about all of the candidates.
There are more than TWO candidates. Start looking at the people who have been working tirelessly for the sake of the U.S. Constitution and true Freedoms for all.
Take time making your choice.
Give candidates and their supporters a chance to prove themselves to you.
If a candidate for U.S. President has a good grasp of what is actually happening in our country, has ideas for change and improvement that you agree with, and shows a willingness to listen to The People before making those changes, be open-minded about considering that person.
Give careful consideration to the candidates that other people support, no matter what their background, in an effort to promote conversation and patriotic debate.
This is the candidate's job interview and you are asking the questions.
Become educated about the responsibilities and challenges being addressed in this election.
By thinking and keeping things the same, all that ends up happening is the same old things stay the same old way. Be outspoken about what needs to be changed and who, in your opinion, will make the right changes.
Just because a person does not have previous "POLITICAL" experience does not mean that the person -- no matter what the race, creed, color, OR gender -- would or wouldn't be able to handle the position.
Learn where your candidate's real loyalties really are. Learn what the issues and challenges are that get debated, so you will know where you stand, and understand your candidate's position on those matters, too.
Support and vote for the Candidate you know to be the right one for the job.
Become a politically-active civic-minded American.
Choose what and who to support, then add your voice with other like-minded citizens.
Once you have made a decision, get the ball rolling with others.
After carefully deciding which Candidate has earned your support, share your decision with others. Tell friends, family and other citizens why you feel this person is the right one for the job of U.S. President.
Begin or join in on a grass-roots movement of support for your Candidate. In the same way you want your opinion to be considered by others, be open to hearing what other people have to say.
Add strength and momentum to your voice by showing your support to the one considered the best by the majority in your grass-roots movement. From there, participate in making your choice, viewpoints and reasons known to others on State and National levels.
Let's prevent another election coup.
Do your part to prevent another coup; work to ensure honest elections this time around!
Communicate clearly - frequently, should you feel it necessary - with your Secretary of State; we need to let these individuals know that we will be paying attention to how the vote is properly counted.
Demand that steps be taken to ensure that it is MANDATORY that all eligible voters be included in this election vote.
Help Get Out The Vote.
Most importantly, DEMAND that every candidate should be allowed to be included on the ballot. In some States, such as Washington State, the voting system was just recently rearranged in a manner which puts it in the hands of 'authorities' to decide who the candidates may be, who will be allowed to vote, and where the vote may take place.
It is high time to remind these Public Servants that their boss is We, The People!
Together we can make needed changes.
To sum this up, NOW is your opportunity to make a difference by identifying what needs to be changed in the U.S.A. NOW is your opportunity to be part of making the RIGHT changes. NOW is your opportunity to invest some personal time and energy towarsd putting Candidates in office who will be true representatives OF THE PEOPLE.
However, for this to succeed, it must be done BY THE PEOPLE voting into office the leaders who will honestly work FOR THE PEOPLE, with the ultimate goals of LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS.
